KUALA LUMPUR, May 20 — Eight years into Malaysia’s music industry, hip-hop artiste and composer Zynakal has released his latest single, NIAT.
In a statement released today, Sony Music said the track by Zynakal, whose real name is Muhammad Raziq Rosli, reflects the realities faced by today’s younger generation, capturing listeners’ emotions through lyrics written by the 28-year-old singer himself.
“The song portrays the inner conflict of someone who is afraid to get too close because of past trauma and experiences, yet slowly begins to realise feelings that are becoming harder to hide,” Sony Music said.
Now available on all digital streaming platforms, the track is driven by a minimal arrangement that places strong emphasis on mood.
Zynakal first gained recognition through his 2018 single Terbang, before the success of Sakit alongside Yonnyboii established him as one of the most influential young artistes in Malaysia’s mainstream music scene. — Bernama
