Kim Kardashian ‘not a lawyer yet’ as she reveals she failed to pass the California Bar Exam

LOS ANGELES, Nov 9 — Kim Kardashian might be playing a high-powered attorney on Ryan Murphy’s new series All’s Fair, but it seems her path to becoming a real one is still a long one.

The actress, reality star and entrepreneur posted on her Instagram Stories yesterday: “Well… I’m not a lawyer yet. I just play a very well‑dressed one on TV.”

She emphasised her continued commitment, saying, “Six years into this law journey, and I’m still all in until I pass the bar. No shortcuts, no giving up — just more studying and even more determination. Thank you to everyone who has supported and encouraged me along the way so far.”

Kardashian described her recent setback as a source of renewed motivation: “Falling short isn’t failure – it’s fuel. I was so close to passing the exam and that only motivates me even more. Let’s Go!!!!!!!!!!”

The California State Bar released results for the exam on the evening of Friday, November 7—available only to examinees.

Kardashian first passed the “baby bar” in 2021—a required preliminary test for the state program, after failing three times in two years.

In an earlier interview on The Graham Norton Show, Kardashian expressed ambitions beyond celebrity advocacy: “Maybe in 10 years, I think I’ll give up being Kim K. and be a trial lawyer… That’s what I really want. I always want to be growing, curious and evolving, and I want to see wherever that takes me.”

On All’s Fair, Kardashian stars as Allura Grant, a stylish and formidable divorce attorney. The drama—also featuring Teyana Taylor, Niecy Nash, Sarah Paulson, and Glenn Close—has faced challenges with critics, currently holding a 5 per cent rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
