KUALA LUMPUR, May 26 — Johor Darul Ta’zim Football Club (JDT) are taking their 12th Super League title celebrations up a notch this year with a special performance by American rap icon 50 Cent.
The announcement was made via the Southern Tigers’ Instagram and X accounts, with the celebration — billed as JDT Realm of 12 Night — set to take place on May 30 at the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium in Iskandar Puteri, Johor.
50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis James Jackson III, is a multiple award-winning rapper known for platinum-certified hits such as In Da Club, Candy Shop, P.I.M.P, 21 Questions and Many Men (Wish Death).
He has also starred in several Hollywood films, including 2005’s Get Rich or Die Tryin’, a loose autobiography, as well as 2018’s Den of Thieves.
He also appeared in The Escape Plan trilogy, acting alongside big names such as Sylvester Stallone and Dave Bautista.
The JDT Realm of 12 Night will also feature several other international acts, including Australian rap group ONEFOUR, world-renowned dance groups Jabbawockeez and Royal Family, as well as local rapper Big Ben.
This is not the first time JDT have brought in major international acts for their title celebrations, having previously hosted names such as Busta Rhymes, Jason Derulo and Fabolous.
They also previously had legendary rapper Snoop Dogg feature on the club’s official theme song ‘Pioneers’ alongside local rapper Joe Flizzow, with the track produced by SonaOne.
JDT have been a dominant force in the Malaysia Super League, completing four undefeated seasons in a row and six in total, including the 2016 and 2020 seasons.
They also recently equalled Ivory Coast club Asec Mimosas’ world record of 108 unbeaten league matches following their 14-1 thrashing of Kelantan TRW FC in the 2025/26 Malaysia Super League season finale on May 10.
The club have also announced a high-profile friendly against English Premier League club Chelsea, which will take place on August 11 at the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium.
