F4 star Vanness Wu says ‘I do’, reveals marriage in surprise Instagram post

TAIPEI, June 29 — Taiwanese-American singer and actor Vanness Wu revealed today that he has married, sharing the surprise news with fans in a heartfelt Instagram post featuring a close-up of his hand entwined with his new spouse’s.

While he kept his new spouse’s identity private, the matching wedding bands said it all.

“Every good thing comes from above,” Wu wrote.

“2026 has been filled with so many blessings. Being able to tour again with the boys, being able to do what I love on stage and perform for you all, and now being blessed with the most important person in my life.”

The 47-year-old, who turns 48 in August, went on to thank fans who have supported him throughout his career.

“I’m truly so grateful to be able to share this love with all of you who have supported me throughout the years. May God bless each and every one of you with the same love and grace he has so generously shown me.”

The announcement marks a new chapter for Wu, who was previously married to Singaporean entrepreneur Arissa Cheo. The couple wed in 2013 before ending their marriage in 2018.

His management company, B’in Music, also shared its excitement following the announcement, telling Taiwanese media: “We are very happy for him! Vanness truly cherishes this happiness, please give him some space and thank you all for your blessings.”

The agency did not reveal the identity of Wu’s spouse. Last year, the singer was reportedly photographed attending a wedding with a mystery woman, though B’in Music denied at the time that she was his future bride.

The marriage news caps off what has already been a milestone year for Wu professionally.

The actor, best known for playing the charming Meizuo in the hugely popular 2001 Taiwanese drama Meteor Garden, has been back on the road as part of an F4 reunion tour.

Malaysian fans will soon get the chance to celebrate the newlywed in person. Wu is set to reunite with fellow F4 stars Jerry Yan and Vic Chou — alongside Mayday frontman Ashin, who is filling in for Ken Chu — for the FFOREVER 1st World Tour in Kuala Lumpur on August 7 and 8 at Unifi Arena.
