KUCHING, Sept 24 — Soft rock duo Air Supply has cancelled its show here scheduled for tonight.
The band’s management announced this on its official Facebook page Air Supply Music.
“Unfortuately (sic) our show in Kuching, Malaysia scheduled for September 24 has been cancelled.
“We are working to reschedule this show and will let everyone know when a new date is confirmed. Thank you for understanding,” said the post.
While apologising to fans, the post also revealed that the cancellation was due to “operational reasons on the part of the promoter”.
The promoter for the concert is Galaxy World Entertainment Sdn Bhd.
Separately local organiser Twig Events also shared the disappointing news on its Facebook page.
“We regret to inform you that the Air Supply 50th Anniversary Celebration in Kuching, originally scheduled for September 24, 2025 at SBC Hall, has been cancelled.
“At 3.15am on September 24, 2025, the artist’s official channels announced the cancellation. We are equally shocked, disappointed, and saddened by this last-minute development,” said the company.
Twig Events said all tickets will be refunded in full to the original payment method.
It said the refund processing will commence immediately and is expected to be completed within 14 working days, subject to payment providers.
“Refund instructions will be sent directly to all ticket purchasers by email,” said the company.
Twig Events said it served as the local organiser for the event and had completed all preparations on its part after months of planning and hard work.
“All direct coordination with the artist’s official management representative was managed by the concert promoter, Galaxy World Entertainment Sdn Bhd, and we are in the midst of understanding the situation with the concert promoter regarding the complications that arose.
“We understand the deep disappointment this causes for fans, partners, and our team, who have invested months of preparation and were looking forward to delivering a memorable concert in Kuching. We are in communication with the relevant parties to determine whether a rescheduled date may be possible, and we will share updates once there is confirmed information.
“We will address the circumstances and next steps in greater detail at a press conference to be held soon, and will continue to update the public as facts are confirmed,” said the company.
Twig Events also apologised for the inconvenience caused and thanked fans for their understanding and continued support for live music in Sarawak. — The Borneo Post
