SEOUL, July 13 — All 13 members of K‑pop group Seventeen have renewed their contracts with Pledis Entertainment, the agency announced today, marking an unusually rare second full‑group extension in an industry where seven‑year contract cycles often lead to lineup changes or disbandment.
Pledis said the members had “reached a mutual agreement” to continue with the company, with those currently serving in the military set to finalise paperwork according to their service schedules.
The group said in a statement that they were committed to moving forward together, citing their belief that “there is nothing we cannot achieve together.”
Seventeen, which debuted in 2015, previously renewed its contracts in 2021 ahead of the expiry of its initial seven‑year term.
Their decision to remain as a full unit for a second time underscores the group’s cohesion and long‑term stability — a rarity in K‑pop, where members often pursue solo careers after the first contract period.
Pledis said it will continue supporting the group’s activities, including unit and solo projects, while helping expand Seventeen’s global reach.
