KUALA LUMPUR, July 8 — It’s been a long wait, but Khalid is finally making his way back to Kuala Lumpur.
The Grammy-nominated American singer-songwriter will perform at Idea Live Arena on December 9 as part of his It’s Always Summer Somewhere Tour, marking his first show in the city since appearing as a headliner at Urbanscape in 2018.
Fans were originally set to see him again in 2020 during his Free Spirit World Tour at Stadium Malawati, but those plans were shelved when the Covid-19 pandemic forced the concert’s cancellation.
Now, after selling out shows across 23 cities on the US leg of his latest tour, Khalid is bringing the party back to Malaysia.
Expect a night packed with his signature mix of R&B, pop and soul, alongside a playlist of fan favourites including Location, Young Dumb & Broke, Better, Talk, Love Lies and Eastside, plus songs from his latest musical era.
The multi-platinum hitmaker has become one of the defining voices of his generation, racking up billions of streams and collaborating with the likes of Billie Eilish, Halsey, Normani, Marshmello and Benny Blanco.
His latest album, After the Sun Goes Down, inspired the It’s Always Summer Somewhere Tour, which sees him embark on a fresh chapter of his career.
General ticket sales begin at 11am on July 16, with prices starting from RM358.
Fans can purchase tickets via Golive Asia and Fantopia, while more concert updates will be available through Live Nation’s social media channels.
