LOS ANGELES, Sept 26 — Keanu Reeves’s partner, artist Alexandra Grant, has cleared up the buzz online: despite circulating rumours, the A-list actor and the mixed media artist are not newlyweds.
Grant addressed the chatter in a wholesome Instagram post yesteray, sharing a photo of the couple sharing a kiss at James Turrell’s Roden Crater in northern Arizona.
“This is a real photo. Not an engagement photo or an AI wedding announcement… simply a kiss!” she captioned.
“Albeit maybe the moment right before or after it… given the slightly goofy expressions on our faces!”
She added a note of clarification for fans caught up in the wedding hype.
“I’m sharing it here to say thank you to everyone for the congratulations on our wedding. Except we didn’t get married. Good news is much needed these days, but it’s still fake news, so be careful out there! So, here’s a bit of real happiness!” she wrote.
The pair were visiting the iconic volcanic cone while Reeves and his business partner, Gard Hollinger, interviewed Turrell, known as the “master of light,” for the docuseries Visionaries.
The series, which premiered earlier this year, follows Reeves and Hollinger, co-founders of Arch Motorcycle, as they connect with creative professionals to find inspiration for their motorcycles.
Fans have watched Reeves and Grant’s relationship blossom since 2019, when they made their first red carpet appearance together at the LACMA Art + Film Gala in Los Angeles.
Their creative partnership goes back further — they collaborated on the 2011 book Ode to Happiness, with Reeves writing poetry and Grant providing illustrations.
In a September 2024 interview with People magazine, Grant reflected on how her relationship with Reeves has influenced her work.
“That’s real. We’re all human beings. We’re animals,” she said.
“We’re expressing from where we are and certainly feeling happier. I think the work is happier.”
