SEOUL, July 15 — HYBE’s upcoming global girl group Saint Satine will step into the spotlight with a smaller line-up after member Lexie announced her departure before the group’s official debut.
HYBE x Geffen, the joint venture behind the group, said the decision came after discussions with Lexie about the group’s future activities.
“Following extensive and thoughtful discussions with Lexie regarding the group’s future activities, both parties have mutually agreed to part ways,” HYBExGeffen said in a notice posted on social media yesterday.
The company added that Lexie would no longer be part of Saint Satine or HYBExGeffen, while wishing her well for what comes next.
“While Lexie will no longer continue as a member of Saint Satine or as part of HxG, we sincerely wish her all the best in her future endeavors.”
Despite the line-up change, HYBExGeffen said preparations for Saint Satine’s debut would continue as planned.
“We kindly ask for your continued support for Saint Satine’s upcoming activities, and HxG will continue to put our full support behind the group’s path to debut.”

Saint Satine is the second global girl group project from HYBE and Geffen Records, following the success of Katseye, which debuted in 2024.
The group was originally introduced with four members – Swedish singer Lexie, American member Emily, Brazilian member Samara and Japanese member Sakura – as they prepared to make their debut on the global stage.
Lexie’s exit marks an unexpected twist for the rookie group before fans have even had the chance to see the full line-up officially launch.
