KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 12 — Papa Zola The Movie, Malaysia’s latest animated feature, is set to premiere in cinemas nationwide on Dec 11.
MONSTA chief executive officer Nizam Abd Razak said said the film is a collaboration between MONSTA, Astro Shaw, and FINAS, and promises a captivating mix of humour, action, and emotional storytelling.
To kick off the countdown to its release, the official trailer will premiere on MONSTA’s YouTube channel on Nov 8 at 8 pm.
“Our audience grew up alongside BoBoiBoy and Papa Zola. Now that many of them are young adults and parents, this story goes beyond comedy. It’s about love, sacrifice, and learning how to protect the things that matter most,” he said in a statement.
To mark the upcoming release, Nizam said MONSTA will introduce a range of exclusive Papa Zola merchandise in collaboration with several well-known household brands – a limited-edition collection specially for fans.
Adding to the excitement, MONSTA will also organise the Papa Zola The Movie Run, themed ‘Kebena-RUN,” in conjunction with KL Car Free Day on Dec 7, offering families a fun and energetic morning ahead of the film’s premiere.
In a recent Facebook post, Nizam also teased several upcoming releases, including Papa Delivery, a new animated short, and BoBoiBoy: Watak Sampingan, leading up to the premiere of Papa Zola The Movie.
Fans can also catch Papa Zola’s final appearance in the animated series BoBoiBoy Galaxy: Baraju, premiering on Oct 18, with new episodes airing every Saturday on MONSTA’s YouTube channel and Netflix, coinciding with the Mechamato Season 4 finale.
To commemorate the occasion, Nizam said MONSTA will launch special FGURA figurines and Papa Zola’s Operative Mask of P.A.P.A, featuring light and sound effects, alongside the film’s release.
Nizam also revealed that an exclusive teaser for BoBoiBoy Movie 3 will be hidden within Papa Zola The Movie itself. — Bernama
