SEOUL, Nov 10 — Park Bom, former member of 2NE1, has publicly refuted her agency’s statement that she is taking a break due to health concerns, adding complexity to an already tense situation.
On Saturday, Park posted on social media, “I’ve always been completely fine. Don’t worry, everyone.” The message was a revised version of a post from the previous day, which included the phrase “Park Bom Elizabeth” and several recent photos.
The update drew attention as it followed her public criticism of Yang Hyun-suk, chief producer of YG Entertainment, nearly two weeks earlier.
On October 22, Park announced her intention to pursue legal action against Yang and YG Entertainment, alleging fraud and embezzlement.
She claimed that earnings from both her group and solo activities had not been properly accounted for and that no transparent financial records had been provided.
In response, her current agency, D-Nation Entertainment, stated that financial matters related to 2NE1 had already been settled and that Park had suspended all activities to focus on treatment and recovery.
Park rejected this explanation, continuing to voice grievances about her time at YG.
She asserted that the company never covered her plastic surgery expenses, that she was solely responsible for songwriting during her tenure, and that approximately 4,000 commercial offers were redirected to others.
Following these statements, D-Nation described Park as “emotionally unstable” and in need of rest.
Park, however, maintained that she is in good health.
Fans remain divided, with some expressing concern and others supporting Park’s stance.
