GENTING HIGHLANDS, Sept 24 — Sunset by NEON 2025 has wrapped up what organisers are calling its most refined and unforgettable edition, attracting 18,000 festivalgoers over two days while prioritising crowd safety and comfort.
Organised by NEON Projects Sdn Bhd, this year’s festival ran on a controlled-capacity model, creating a more open and enjoyable experience for fans to fully immerse themselves in the music and atmosphere.
Sunset by NEON 2025 featured a mix of local and international talent, with over 12 Malaysian acts, two regional performers, and seven global headliners — six of whom made their festival debut this year.
Among the international names were techno pioneer Adam Beyer, melodic techno star Massano, and Norwegian duo KREAM.
“Every detail this year was designed with the audience in mind — from production to hospitality to crowd management,” organisers said in a statement.
Production standards were also elevated, combining a locally designed concept with international partners from Europe to deliver a precision-engineered, world-class music experience.
From 12 homegrown acts to regional stars and seven global headliners — six debuting this year — Sunset by NEON 2025 was a showcase of talent on every level.
This year’s festival offered three tiers of VVIP hospitality, including a terrace and two onstage decks, as well as a freestanding 500-capacity platform on stage — giving fans an unprecedented backstage experience.
Sunset by NEON has built a reputation as Asia’s premier melodic techno festival, transforming Genting Highlands into a two-night celebration of music, art, and community.
Organisers say the event has now cemented its status as more than just a music festival — but a movement.
