BTS Busan concert heads to global cinemas in live viewing on June 13

SEOUL, May 21 — BTS will bring its upcoming Busan concert to audiences worldwide through a live cinema broadcast on June 13, with a global live viewing event announced by BTS’s agency, Big Hit Music, on Thursday.

According to The Korea Herald, citing the group’s agency, the second day of BTS’ Arirang performances in Busan will be streamed live, allowing fans across the globe to watch the show in real time on big screens with enhanced cinema sound.

The event will be screened in around 3,800 cinemas across more than 80 countries and regions.

Due to time differences, delayed screenings will also be offered within one to two days after the concert in North America, South America and Europe.

In South Korea, screenings will be available at the country’s three major cinema chains — CGV, Lotte Cinema and Megabox.

Ticket sales in Korea will open on May 28 at 10am, while global ticketing will roll out progressively from 10pm the same day.

Full details on participating countries will be published via the official BTS Live Viewing website.

The Busan Asiad Main Stadium shows carry added significance for both the group and fans.

BTS previously performed there in October 2022 for its “Yet to Come in Busan” concert, staged in support of Busan’s bid for the 2030 World Expo.

The upcoming show on June 13 also marks the group’s 13th debut anniversary, making it a symbolic date for fans unable to attend in person.

BTS has been on its Arirang world tour since launching in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, in April.

The tour spans 85 shows across 34 cities in North America, Europe, South America and Asia, marking the largest single tour ever staged by a Korean act.

On May 16, 17 and 19, BTS became only the second act after Coldplay to perform at Stanford Stadium, drawing tens of thousands of fans across three shows.

The group is also scheduled to perform in Las Vegas on May 23, 24, 27 and 28.
