KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 1 — From Atlanta to the world, Grammy-nominated rapper J.I.D is coming to Malaysia for his first ever KL show.

Fresh off the release of his latest studio album God Does Like Ugly in August which has garnered applause from music critics and fans alike, J.I.D is taking the show on the road via his expanding ‘God Does Like World Tours’ series.

The revelation came after local organiser Eventim Live Asia took to their Instagram to share a slew of new South-east Asia dates of the ‘God Does Like World Tours’.

J.I.D is set to grace the KL stage May 28, 2026.

Other SEA dates include Bangkok on May 26 and Manila on May 30. He will also be dropping by Seoul on June 1 and Tokyo, June 3.

Meanwhile, the venue is expected to be announced soon, with ticket sales starting next week on October 8.

For those unfamiliar with J.I.D, the 34-year-old made global waves after being featured on the hit Imagine Dragon song Enemy, which was also the official soundtrack for award-winning animated series ‘Arcane: League of Legends’.

Recognised for his sharp lyricism and dynamic stage presence, J.I.D’s breakthrough in the industry came after his acclaimed 2015 EP DiCaprio, which caught the attention of famous rapper and producer J. Cole, who took J.I.D under his Dreamville label in partnership with Interscope in 2017.

He then went on to release The Never Story in 2017, his first major label debut, which contain hit tracks such as NEVER and Lauder. He also dropped the follow-up to his first EP, DiCaprio 2, that same year.

Another milestone in his career was being nominated for the Grammy Award for his standout performance on Dreamville’s Platinum-certified compilation album Revenge of the Dreamers III in 2019, where J.I.D was featured on the Down Bad track, which was nominated for Best Rap Performance.
