G-Dragon, aespa, Stray Kids, IVE lead star-packed 2025 MAMA Awards lineup in Hong Kong

SEOUL, Oct 20 — The 2025 MAMA Awards just levelled up. CJ ENM, organiser of the world’s biggest K-pop awards show, unveiled a second wave of performers for its star-studded Hong Kong event — and it includes none other than G-Dragon.

The BigBang frontman joins an already stacked lineup featuring aespa, (G)I-DLE, Tomorrow X Together, NCT Wish, Treasure, JO1, and Hong Kong boy group Mirror.

The two-day spectacle will take place on November 28 and 29 at Kai Tak Stadium, marking the MAMA Awards’ return to Hong Kong for the first time since 2018.

Fans can expect a showcase of the genre’s global powerhouses and next-gen idols.

Day One — dubbed Chapter 1 — will see acts like IVE, Super Junion, Enhypen, and Treasure take the stage, while Chapter 2 features aespa, Stray Kids, Riize, and of course, G-Dragon.

This year’s theme, “UH-HEUNG,” captures the uniquely Korean sense of joy and collective energy — what CJ ENM calls the spirit of “Heung.” The concept channels the roar of a tiger, symbolising the strength and unity of music that transcends borders.

The 2025 edition also marks a milestone: MAMA’s new home at the newly built Kai Tak Sports Park, in partnership with Media Asia Entertainment and Rolemodel Entertainment Group. The show is financially supported by Hong Kong’s Mega Arts and Cultural Events Fund.

Launched in 1999 as Korea’s first-ever music video awards by CJ ENM’s Mnet, MAMA has evolved into a global celebration of music, touring cities like Singapore, Macao, Japan, Vietnam, and the United States.

Ticket sales for the Hong Kong event have already kicked off — with Visa presales selling out swiftly and general sales now live on Cityline, Damai, Trip.com, and Qoo10.

Fans, mark your calendars. The world’s No.1 K-pop awards show is set to make Hong Kong roar once again.
