SEOUL, Aug 31 — Enhypen has earned its first No. 1 on the US Billboard 200 after its latest EP The Sin: Bliss debuted atop the chart.
The group’s eighth EP entered at No. 1 ahead of Ella Langley’s Dandelion and Olivia Rodrigo’s you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love, according to a preview of this week’s rankings released yesterday by Billboard.
Billboard reported that The Sin: Bliss earned 98,000 equivalent album units, including 92,000 in album sales, marking the group’s strongest performance to date.
This is Enhypen’s first chart‑topper since its debut in November 2020.
According to Yonhap, the group now joins BTS, SuperM, Stray Kids, Ateez and Tomorrow X Together among K‑pop boy bands that have reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
Blackpink, NewJeans, TWICE and Katseye have achieved the feat among girl groups, while the soundtrack for Netflix’s animated hit KPop Demon Hunters also topped the chart.
The Sin: Bliss is Enhypen’s seventh top‑10 entry since 2022, following two No. 2 peaks with The Sin: Vanish in January and Romance: Untold in 2024.
The Billboard 200 ranks the most popular albums in the United States based on physical and digital sales, streaming activity and digital track downloads converted into album units.
The Sin: Bliss, released on August 21, is the group’s first project as a six‑member act after former member Heeseung’s departure.
The EP crossed 2.02 million cumulative sales on Thursday, allowing it to qualify as a double‑million seller.
The release is the second installment in Enhypen’s The Sin series, which uses sin as its central motif and follows two lovers confronting the consequences of breaking a taboo.
The 10‑track EP includes lead single Bloody Paradise and B‑side Two Fools.
Meanwhile, American country music legend Dolly Parton’s greatest‑hits collection Ultimate Dolly Parton re-entered the chart at No. 5 following her death Tuesday.
Katseye’s Wild fell five spots from No. 1, while Stray Kids’ This & That dropped to No. 8 from No. 3.
